Tasting notes

Color: Bright gold.

Nose: Fresh and elegant. Dominant aromas of citrus fruits reveal delicate notes of white flowers (acacia) and vanilla.

Palate : Soft and mineral. Good balance between acidity and suppleness.

Wine and food pairing

It goes well with white meats such as veal or poultry in cream sauce, as well as with many varieties of goat cheese. Its aromatic power also allows it to accompany spicy and fragrant exotic dishes such as couscous, fish tagines or shrimps in sweet and sour sauce. Sushi is also enhanced by its minerality

Origins

The Pouilly-Fuissé appellation produces only white wines from the Chardonnay grape. Located in the Mâconnais, it covers 758 hectares around the 4 communes of Solutré-Pouilly, Fuissé, Vergisson and Chaintré. Pouilly-Fuissé is harvested on the exceptional site formed by the rocks of Vergisson and Solutré. Located on the slopes and at the foot of these rocks, the vine takes its roots on stony scree and clay-limestone soils of the Jurassic period. The vineyard is oriented East and South-East, at an altitude of between 200 and 300 meters.

Vinification & ageing

Hand harvested, grapes sorted, pneumatically pressed, then vinified in thermo-regulated tanks and aged in stainless steel tanks for about 10 months.
